Windows 7: Bluescreen crash (Minidump) help needed

while doing the stresstest for about 38 minutes one core (number 5) had an error while the others continued working. an half our later i got BSOD the bluescreen told me that I have to disable anti virus programs and also recovery programs etc. should I disable my anti virus? and how can I disable recovery programms.

This means that a hardware defect in your CPU was identified, you should get another CPU

uh okay.. is that really the reason? well too bad so i gotte change the entire cpu and you are sure about that? :S

Yes, since core 1 reports an error. Unless your mainboard too a a problem but its highly unlikely

Not quite often but it occurs when defective CPUs are shipped with new computers
Or it could be a result of unstable overclocking which could have damaged the CPU

Reading over the thread, I'm fairly certain its the CPU. It's not an uncommon problem, is the best way to say it, but is usually discovered and remedied while the CPU can be sent to the manufacturer.

I agree with yowanvista and LiquidSnak, you have an error when running Prime95, this is due to a CPU fault.

Best thing to do is return the computer or just the CPU for replacement.
This type of failure does happen and there is only one way to fix it, get it replaced.
