    Hardware crash?

    Hello,

my pc is 'home built' and is around 6 months old (all parts still under warranty).

I have had no issues with it until now, when this morning it crashed twice with a bsod and a machine_check_exception error.

After I restarted it, it turned on for a few seconds and then off again.

It is now running again, but seems to me this might be a hardware problem?

I have attached the dump file as a .zip.

    Any assistance appreciated, thank you.

    Hello Xanti, welcome to SF!

Please update your intel drivers from http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Default.aspx

+ is it correct that you disabled an ethernet controller?

If the intel update does not help, try:

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker - Windows 7 Forums

and also try running in Safe mode w/ networking for a longer period of time.

If those two work fine... and still bsod's ... we'll start running tests...:)

    Thanks for the reply :)

Unfortunately I doubt I will be able to do this, due to the fact that the pc, if it even boots, will only remain stable for a minute or two before another bsod even in safe mode.

Most of the time, it won't even boot..it will turn on for around 2 seconds then turn off again with a 'click'.

Mmm... hoped it wasn't that bad as you seemed to be able to post dumpfile...

This sounds like possibly a PSU/HW problem...
But.. first check is whether it will boot from you W7 CD (or recovery CD)?
