Help!

After fairly recently reinstalling windows I have been experiencing a multitude of BSOD's. Most frequently the one titled above. I have noticed that these BSOD's seem to happen whilst I am running a game (most commonly soon after loading l4d2) or watching a video on youtube. I don't know much about pc's so clear instructions and explanations would be greatly appreciated, although any help would be extremely useful.

I re-installed windows 7 because of all the BSOD's and completely formatted my hard drive. I have run mem-test for a very long time and done countless virus scans neither yielding any problems.

Thanks A Lot

Max

Hi HauntedSheep

Please follow these steps in that order,

Uninstall avast using the avast! Uninstall Utility

Download and install MSE Anti-Malware, Virus, Spyware Protection | Microsoft Security Essentials

Download and instal Driver Sweeper Phyxion.net - Driver Sweeper

Download the most recent driver for your ATI card (only the driver not the catalyst) AMD Graphics Drivers & Software

Uninstall ATI software/driver,restart in safe mode, use driver sweeper to clean any remaining ati fragments, restart.

Install the new ATI driver,restart.

Update DirectX

Run RAM - Test with Memtest86+
---------------------
Please post back with ANY results.

Okay I have done as you said and am now unable to install the ati driver as it says "INF file not found" which I believe is a cause of manually cleaning the ati fragments using driver sweeper

Try to restore with driver sweeper backup/restore option.

Try to download and install only the driver not the catalyst.
