Well, if SFC crashes....It means you either have a hardware (memory or harddisk) problem or a completely messed up w7 install.

Please try the memory test ( as that boots with a cd that you create and soes not use W7) first...see my first post for instructions.

You could, but, if I'm not mistaken, you can still boot and login normally, right?
If so, just follow instructions and burn a cd? Or don't you have a CD at hand?

If that's the reason you should be able to use s usb-stick but need to go into you BIOS (press DEL on reboot) to make sure your BIOS allows/is set to also boot from USB.

From your earlier posts I gather that BIOS-ing is not a daily thing for you so I'd advise on a cd...

I'll do the cd. I don't have one, but, I can get one. well, I have a dvd... but I hate to waste it on such a small thing.
