Also, I never updated my BIOS before, so I don't really know how to. I have the .rom file, I just don't know what to do with it.

Also the prime95 download links on the site don't work, and I couldn't find any other ones.
After installing SP1 the CPU will go crazy for a few minutes until it settles everything.

There should be instructions, either in the rom file (a text file) or on Asus web site, usually in the same place you downloaded it from.

another BSOD after trying to install ASUS update utility. and now I can't install the Utility, it gives me like 3 errors: one with random characters, "No Asus motherboard installation will be abooted now" and "an installation support file 'c:\users\Josh\Appdata\local\temp\{587178e7-b1df-494e-9838-fa4dd36e873c}\_IsRes.dll' could not be removed. unspecified error"

I also tried uninstalling PC Tools and i got a BSOD in the process. had to boot in safe mode in order to remove the program.

We haven't forgotten you. We will have to wait for someone from the bsod crew to help you. It has evolved into something more than I am qualified for.

Not sure why you can't download it. Try it from here. There is a link for X86 and one for X64.

Can non-system [storage only] HDDs be powered down?
Do non-system hard drives automatically power down after x minutes of not being used? I've got 3 storage-only drives that I access very rarely, so as to conserve energy + reduce noise/heat I'd prefer to keep them powered down until I click on the specific drive in Windows Explorer. It's possible...
