    BSOD BCCode: 1000007e please help!

I made an account just to post this problem, at first I thought that it was a random error, but its getting worse. When I power up it sometimes gives me a BSOD and restarts, saying something about it not properly shutting down (the shutdown repair service doesnt help). Today I put the laptop in sleep and then when waking it up, it crashed and gave me the same code that I have been getting for the past week, after that though it gave me the code 3 more times, before it would boot up all the way (this is the first time it has happened back to back). The BSOD info is as follows:

    BCCode: 1000007e
    BCP1: FFFFFFFFC0000005
    BCP2: FFFFF88005D07AEA
    BCP3: FFFFF8800378C8F8
    BCP4: FFFFF8800378C150
    OS Version: 6_1_7601
    Service Pack: 1_0
    Product: 768_1

I have tried reading the dump and can never open it with notepad (even after taking ownership). I have looked for the error on the internet, but have only found errors matching the BC Code, and nothing else. Most of the errors I've found also stated that it is causing random shutdowns, when mine is ONLY on startup (and being awakened today).

Please help me, I use this laptop for college, and start in little over a month, so its extremely urgent that I get this problem solved ASAP.

EDIT (after reading the guide to post BSOD topics):
    System Specs:
    OS - windows 7 home premium 64bit
    all hardware is OEM
the laptop is about 8 months old
As far as I know every driver is up-to-date

    Thanks in advance,
    Evan
