Need help fixing BSOD.
Hello everyone.
As you can probably tell, I'm new to this site.
I've tried to find the solution to my BSOD problems by myself, but I don't even know where to begin. There just seem to be too many variables that play a role in causing my BSOD.
Anyway, here's my story:
I built my own custom computer using parts from Newegg.
Specs
- Antec 900 case
- Cooler Master Hyper 212+ cpu cooler
- EVGA GTX 550 Ti
- i5-2500k
- ASRock Extreme4 P67 motherboard
- G. Skill 2x 2GB DDR3 RAM
- Western Digital Caviar Green 500GB hard drive
- Corsair GS 600 power supply
- Asus DVD drive
This computer will come with me to college.
This computer is about 5 weeks old. The first 3 weeks that I've used it, it has worked flawlessly. For the last week, it has started showing signs of trouble. The BSOD first occurred on July 27. On that day, I only had one BSOD and I thought nothing of it. However, the attacks started becoming more frequent, and I'm scared my computer is dying.
I'm not really a techie kind of guy. I mean, I built the computer, but I know nothing about how it really works.
I've attached the files, and I'm hoping someone can help me out. I hope it's just a problem with my RAM, or hard drive (I don't have anything important on it) because I can easily replace those through Newegg.
Also, I think my web browsers and drivers have something to do with my BSOD attacks. For some strange reason, Firefox 5 randomly crashes on me. I try to reopen it, but it just keeps on crashing. The only way to fix this is by restarting my computer. I read somewhere that it could be a font (??) problem, or something, but I don't know how to fix that either. Sometimes when Firefox crashes, I try to use Internet Explorer, only to find out that it too refuses to open. They crash at the most random times (like when I click a link to watch a YouTube video). I have a feeling my graphics card drivers are also playing a role in my crashes.
If anyone can help, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'd had to have to lose money on my already low college budget!
Thanks in advance.
