    Bsod

    hi all
Recently i have been getting system lock ups, windows being non responsive and blue screen error.First i was getting this one
A process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated.
    Now im getting this.
The system encountered an uncorrectable hardware error.
Each time this happens it fails to make a dump file so i cant post any.
I was told to disable the marvel controler in bios to see if this would help.It has helped stop these probs until i do anything that would work the harddrive then it all comes back. After the computer restarts i will get these problems
    Windows loading screan hangs.
Disk read error hit ctrl, alt del
Drives will randomly disapear and reapear from bios
What i have to do to boot to windows is to shut down for a min or 2 then it will boot.
Any help with this would be much appreciated

There is no dump in there. You did say you had BSOD's right?
    To ensure minidumps are enabled:

Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD

Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
Under the Write Debugging Information header
Select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
    OK your way out.
Reboot if changes have been made.
You have problems with some devices that need to be resolved first:
    HTML Code:
Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller PCI\VEN_1033&DEV_0194&SUBSYS_84131043&REV_03\4&108ABD8A&0&00E4 The drivers for this device are not installed.
TCP/IP Protocol Driver ROOT\LEGACY_TCPIP\0000 This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed.
Not Available PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C3A&SUBSYS_844D1043&REV_04\3&11583659&0&B0 The drivers for this device are not installed.
Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller PCI\VEN_1033&DEV_0194&SUBSYS_84131043&REV_03\4&DDEC341&0&00E1 The drivers for this device are not installed.

You need to get the latest driver for the usb.. but as a test you could disable in your Devices screen. However, the TCP/IP Protocol driver is another story. Goto mobo manufacturer and update your systems drivers there.

You also have possible trouble with a intel storage driver iastorui
    Please check: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Sear....aspx?lang=eng

Finally, you need to make sure Windows Update is allowed to finish. Loads of errors there...
Please go to your Maintenance Center and check the Windows Update status. Make sure you are up to date, do them one by one manually if needed.

Ok for the dump files every time on the blue screen it said that it had failed to make one.

The TCP/IP Protocol driver what is? as i dont know what im really looking for here.

As for the intel storage driver. i was using the latest driver but it was making the system non responsive and BSODs far worse and giving a lot of iastor errors so i uninstalled all to do with the intel storage

The windows updates not being allowed to finish was caused by the lock ups and BSODs. When i try to install anything like this or anything that would work the harddrive it becomes non responsive and bluescreens

TCP IP: go here ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - Motherboards- ASUS SABERTOOTH P67
and download the latest drivers under LAN.
It would possibly be a good idea to update "chipset" as well.

In this last post you mention what did not succeed earlier.. have you tried with my instructions today? Like the windows update reset as in the tutorial?

Did yuo check all the steps for making dump files int that tutorial?

Ok so i downloaded the LAN and chipset drivers but when instaling the LAN driver it said cannot install drivers. no intel adapters are present in this computer.

I installed all windows updates and did the reset and
checked all steps for making dump files.

Mmm strange, I hapoen to have the same mobo type and that should be the right driver. Do you know if there is anything special done to your mobo? Is it standard out of the box?

Anyway, maybe we should first see if the other things helped. It is good to test one thing at a time....
