windows explorer has stopped working

    windows explorer has stopped working


    OS : Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit edition

    When I start the PC, it appears and I can`t start any program or even task manager, because it blocks... and if I try cancel it, it just appears again and again block ! I even tried starting in safe mode... didin`t helped, any suggestion someone ? :/

    bump

    I see it works to start in safe mode with command prompt ! any new suggestions are welcomed :) and
    2nd : here is something extra... after windows loads it appears that is configurating new updates... 35%... Welcome... windows explorer has .... awaiting suggestions :P

    I had that problem a long time ago and I run sfc /scannow and it solved it. Run in cmd prompt using admin. Then restart your computer and see if it helps.

    If you cannot make your way through because explore.exe ain't working, then use this shortcut:

    Winkey + R

    Type cmd

    i'm currently having the same problem like tDaniel, the only difference is i'm running OS: Windows 7 Home Basic 36bit.

    my desktop still didn't respond w/ the Winkey + R shortcut. any other options?
    btw, what is the "sfc/scannow"? how do it works and how do i get there?
