    New BSOD

    Greetings:

I just got a blue screen. Attached is the dump file and the prefmon. When I got it it was right after I alt-tabbed out of a game (League of legends) to the desktop.

Note: Earlier today i came home, and my computer wouldnt start back up from sleep mode. The mobo, keyboard, mouse came on but nothing else. Even clicking the power button wouldnt do it. I had to click off the power supply. I am not sure if both of these are related or not.

    Thanks,
    Z

ps. I am using Windows seven x64. My OS is only a few months old.

    Hello Z, welcome to SF!

there are just two things to say about your uploaded info...

It has problems with drivers I have never seen before... ATSZIO64.sys is mentioned 5 times... can't even find it on google.

That probably means you have some work related software that is not commonly found in this worldwide BSOD research. Any ideas what that could be?

You also have possible problems on your Hiber Atapi drivers..

For both, I can only recommend that you go to the manufacturer site of the mobo and update ALL latest drivers there. Yours are mostly 2009 and some are bound to be old.

After that make sure you reboot and let Windows Update complete:
Please go to your Maintenance Center and check the Windows Update status. Make sure you are up to date, do them one by one manually if needed.

I did some investigating and it turns out that the driver you mentioned is a driver for ASUS PC Diagnostics. Also, Ive checked the ASUS site to see if I have the most current mobo drivers. It turns out I currently do.

Good that you found the drivers are the most recent... But if you don't change something... It won't get better. I mentioned the driver because th dumps showed they possibly caused a problem and could not be diagnosed.

I would delete the asus diag stuff as a test....

I agree, I uninstalled the utility already. Was there anything else glaring that you could find in my report?

what constitutes an important update? There is some labeled as important but I am weary of updates reeking havoc.

Windows update tells you what is important or optional... Do the important ones....
