ok, thx.. it could be a temp/wiring thing. Sometimes when the mobo get cold, the metal literally shrinks... and IF there is a small / thin disconnection, that is when it shows. Subsequently, when turned on an things get warm, metal expands and the problem is over.
Turn off system, disconnect power and reseat everything you dare (know how) to reseat.....

Sorry for the late reply, been quite ill the last few days.

Anyways update: i took your advice and basically took everything off my mobo and re-sat it all. Started up ok after the usual bios being stupid. Later turned it off, went to work and now that im home, tried to turn it on and i had the No 1. problem (aka starts up until after starting windows screen then restarts).

Attached is the minidump file from when i just logged in 10mins ago.

Probably caused by : nvlddmkm.sys ( nvlddmkm+170cd8 )

From here it could still be 3 things:

1. Incorrect powerlan/energysaving settings on graphics card. Check both powerplan and energysettings in your Devices screen. Do not do ANY powersaving.

2. Driver problem. Re-do the steps to update Graphics driver as in my earlier post, in admin mode if needed: Built-in Administrator Account - Enable or Disable

3. Graphics card HW... let's hope it is not this option. Only way to check is to replace/borrow etc...
