Yesterday I've done another video driver reinstall but now without Catalyst Control Center (I read that it solved similar Dragon Age issues for others), at night I played that game for 2 hours without BSOD - the framerate dropped from time to time at the end of the second hour, but nothing else. I send the BSOD details attached.

    The BurnInTestLog.zip shows,

CRITICAL : 2011-08-29 21:35:25, Serial, Error while receiving from the COM port. Check plug is connected.

It seems that you use a legacy/unsupported gamepad or any similar device.

Check your gamepad\gamemouse and any other gaming device you use for software updates.

The install without the catalyst is a good idea :)
We also advice that in some cases.

For the catalyst you can try also this,

Again do a clean uninstall using the driver sweeper etc.

    This time install the 10-11_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_enu

Then without cleaning anything install 11-8_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl BUT during installation untik\disable the catalyst version 2.

That way you have the most recent drivers and the old catalyst.

Try that and post back with results.

    Hi,
Currently I don't use the COM port for anything - doing BurnInTest for that port was only accidental. About the rest: I'll do it tomorrow and come back with the results.

    Hi panais,

Just a little summary on the current situation:
    Everything is fine
I did what you've suggested, so now I have the old Catalyst and the new driver. I've played Dragon Age almost every evening on the last week, for about two hours a day. It crashed only once but without BSOD, so this is probably related to the game itself and not my computer's instability. I'll test it till Friday, but if I won't get any BSODs till then, I'll mark this problem solved.
Thank you very much for your help!
