Hi
As you are of the firm opinion it is hardware related I think my best bet is to speak with the suppliers again as the major parts replaced last Xmas should still be under manufacturer's warranty.
Thank you so far.

Yes, I do admit I have a strong feeling it is hardware. Those event logs can only be explained by some firmware or hardware issue. If a BIOS update doesn't cut it, I'd think it would be time to start swapping out components again.
Hi Jonathan
Just to say thanks because my long saga of BSODs seems to have come to an end. Since it's return from the suppliers 3
weeks ago I have not had a single issue.
In consultation with the suppliers, OC UK, I returned the pc for investigation. You suspected a hardware fault and
that's what they discovered; it was in the 6 Gb RAM. This was replaced. But they also found the i7 950 overclock was
unstable at 4.2 GHz and reduced it to slightly over 4.0 GHz.
But in turn that meant the pc was not to the original purchase spec - not that I was worried about such a minor
adjustment. But by way of compensation for the clock reduction and all the BSOD disturbance I'd had they doubled the
RAM to 12 Gb and asked if there was anything else that I might want. I suggested extra storage and they supplied a 1Tb
HD.
I am delighted with the repair and extras supplied. There is no way I can detect any deterioration in speed of
operation, indeed there is a performance increase when using MS Excel due I think to the extra RAM.
So again thanks for your investigations. You were right. I was looking everwhere but hardware as it had been in for
repair Xmas 2010 and OC were pretty confident they had fixed it and there was no mention of unstable overclocks.
Cheers, my confidence in a stable platform is growing.
Thanks for posting back, glad to hear about this. It almost seems like it was a good thing you got the BSODs in the first place!
