Random Freezing at Random Times - Kernal-Power Event ID: 41

Been getting this error for quite awhile now when doing random stuff. My latest crash was watching Twitch.tv & Playing CIV 5. Other times, it's just when I leave my computer on and it hasn't done anything in a while, and other times happens when I listen to music or watching a video.

"The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."

    My Specs:

    Asus Maximus IV Extreme
    i2600K
    GTX 570 SLI
    8GB RAM

    Hello Wesley, welcome to SF!

There are no dumps in there. Please have a good look at the second post here:
    https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html

While waiting and testing for a new crash that should produce a dump, please check the following:

    1. Re-seat your RAM. there is a slight diff between physical and installed and AFAIK, in your case I would not expect that. We might do a RAM test later on.

    2. Fix these driver / devices issues:
    HTML Code:
Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller PCI\VEN_1033&DEV_0194&SUBSYS_84131043&REV_03\4&1D7623A1&0&00E2 The drivers for this device are not installed.
PCI Simple Communications Controller PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C3A&SUBSYS_844D1043&REV_04\3&11583659&0&B0 The drivers for this device are not installed.
Shrew Soft Virtual Adapter ROOT\VNET\0000 This device is disabled.
Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller PCI\VEN_1033&DEV_0194&SUBSYS_84131043&REV_03\4&DDEC341&0&00E1 The drivers for this device are not installed.
Go your Devices screen and either find drivers or disable these devices...

I also expect you have problems with Windows Update. Multiple errors in your logs on that. Please go to Maintenance center and make sure you install all updates. ALL?? Yes, ALL. If needed there is a good tutorial on resetting WU.

You may have some issues on Bonjour services from Apple stuff. We see that some times and though not in the past two days but before that there were many errors there.

    Post back any results please..

That normally means RAM error, PSU error or drivers. Lets start some more tests as these dmp are inconclusive..:

    1. Start Driver Verifier... read the tut well, it is important to do this correctly and it could flush out a guilty driver if there is one...Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable

    2. Start / do memtest86+. At least 4-5 passes, which takes approx 4 hours. Best to let it run overnight. RAM - Test with Memtest86+

    Post back any results please...

ok so the memtest86+ was successfull
same for intel stress test both of them 5 times
i updated bios for my mobo to v3.0s (latest)
i had 2 other BSOD (verifier was not running)
one was caused by the nvddmkm.sys and other by usbohci.sys
i reverted nvidia video card drivers to 275.33 version since the 280.26 is known to cause a power failure . at least what on nvidia forums say.
also i let it ran with all usb plugs disconected (frontpannel card reader , kb and xwinger mouse) . it still crashed ..
also it does same thing with my other OS which is 32bit win 7 ( no SP1)
i'll attach all the minidumps + the sys 32 minidumps
also i have 2 questions how come i have vista drivers faults ? and how come the windows is AMD64fre build hence i'm running on inter q8200

EDIT.: I would like to add that both GPU zotac gtx460 768 MB and the PSU corsair 500W are brand new .. they have 2 months since i installed them

De-install all NVIDIA stuff and ONLY install the driver for your card, no more. No afterburner thingies, no 3d settings, nothing.

If that does not help... run in Safe mode for a while... if it cashes there, it'll get a bit more difficult.

mmm not good, yet. Still pointing to standard Windows stuff that is surely ok else you would not have a system at all.But there is still a concern if all windows update stuff got through. There is a way to get more info out of this dump with some programming on my part but I can't right now. Test some more, If it bsod's again, upload again and then run in Safe mode for some time as a test to see if it also crashes with default (only) W7 drivers.

i must admit that since i update my bios bsod's are far less frequent .. i tend to belive that in some way .. one of the windows updates i did on 15 /9 messed up something , cuz the bios was old. also i was trying to run a debug utility and i got message that i dont' have framework 4 installed .. ( can cause problems ????) .. i'm installing it as i type .
