Various BSODS Brand New Laptop Playing Cs:source, half life 2 And Watc

    hing a video.

    Hi Everybody,
I have just bought a new samsung RC510 from Ebuyer.com
    Laptop system specs :
    Core I5 m 480 @ 2.67GHZ 4.00GB Ram Intel HD graphics card and Nvidia GF 315M
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit SP1 (OEM)

BSODs whilst playing games and happened when watching a video on vlc. The BSODS usually happen when I exit the game but have happened during as well.

Please find attached relevant dump files etc.

I thank you in advance for your help.

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000007e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
    happening.
    Arguments:
Arg1: ffffffffc0000005, The exception code that was not handled
Arg2: fffff8800f220ce5, The address that the exception occurred at
    Arg3: fffff880063e26a8, Exception Record Address
    Arg4: fffff880063e1f00, Context Record Address

Ok...At the intel website for the graphic driver it says:

    Product Detected Intel® HD Graphics
    Current Driver Installed 8.15.10.2202
A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver Update Utility is not able to update the driver. Installing a generic Intel driver instead of the customized computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues. Contact your computer manufacturer for the latest driver for your computer.

I don't know what to do here? Shall I uninstall the current driver and then try again?

I downloaded direct x 9 and realtek audio driver after uninstalling the one I have.

So just the intel one and the nvidia one I guess. any Ideas?

Just leave the nvidia driver installed if it is an nvidia card the intel drivers are probably screwing it up. Whjat I don't understand and maybe you can help me here is why are there intel drivers installed for an nvidia card? Can't have 2 different drivers for the same card or integrated board.

I'm not sure, it's how the computer came...

here's a link top the laptop if this helps..
    Samsung RC510 Laptop - Laptops | Ebuyer.com

I uninstalled the intel driver, the screens gone all funny...
I try go to the nvidia control panel and it says that you are not currently using a display attached to an nvidia gpu...
in device manager it is listed though...and says it is working correctly.

    My brain hurts.
    I appreciate your help.

That's what were here for japrestone. I would think that since the laptop has the intel components that updating from there would be the wisest choice. If you could uninstall those nvidia drives and install the ones from intel (which would still be nvidia) but a different version of it then that may rule out instability cause intel has to verify that drivers work before they release them on their equipment and from what I understand the new nvidia driver may have an issue with it. Before you do that though since you did the other stuff see if it's even necessary to uninstall it wait to see if anymore BSOD's occur while watching video or playing games. No since in fixing it if it's not broken anymore..

Ok, I uninstalled the nvidia driver...updated the intel hd graphics to the latest driver....played half life 2 deathmatch....exited and Blue Screen.

They were installed from the intel website...
Samsung recovery solution is now telling me that an item from the essential software list being the nvidia graphics driver - has been found.
