    I don't think you put the wrong driver, just an older version is all, before you install the newer driver go into device manager and uninstall the software that is associated with the driver. Like this: Of course it won't be your networking card but your SCSI/Raid controller.

    Seth500,

    I have done a new windows install so now i have no programs installed. I updated the driver to the one you suggested I have attached a photo for you to confirm but still freezing then i tried the driver i first downloaded same result so went back to the driver you thought. I had to restart 5 times just to run the performance system report.

    I called 3 different computer company's here in Australia to see if they can fix it they all basically said i have no idea what your talking about. I just want it fixed 3 weeks and countless hours is wearing thin.

    However there is hope still with you Seth any other suggestions? Please if we get this fixed i will be forever greatful.

    I have attached a new logs and the picture

    Hi Cactuscrawford completely uninstall the marvell driver and let the system use the microsoft generic driver. I didn't get any dump files in your last zip follow this:

    We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

    You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

    To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

    The procedure:

    * Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
    * Zip up the copy.
    * Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
    *If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.

    To ensure minidumps are enabled:

    * Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
    * Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
    * Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
    * Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
    * Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
    * OK your way out.
    * Reboot if changes have been made.

    Let me know how the system performs after these changes.

    Thanks

    Seth

    Seth my friend,

    I have it working!! kinda... lol I did a Bios upgrade on the motherboard see to have made it heaps better. Apparently Marvell is bringing our a firmware upgrade for the on-board 91xx sata driver soon to 100% fix the issue. But I have had only one freeze in 4 days which is amazing considering i was having them around every 10 minutes.

    I really do thank you for helping me, I still would be screwed without your kind of help.

    Thanks Mate.

    Hi Seth,

    I'm back haha if i dont laugh i will cry... My computer worked awesome for 6 days but now its back to shit. Today between 3pm-9pm my computer has frozen 16 times around every 5-10 minutes. It just freezes and wont respond to any commands forcing me to restart.

    I have done a lot of research on the Marvell 91xx 6G controller and what people have been doing is using the normal sata plugs on the board instead of using the two controller ports. Slower but not crashing for most people. I have done this and no longer am using the Marvell 91xx 6G controller but its still freezing.

    So my question to the wizard is... How do we go about fixing this, im assuming the 91xx was the cause the BSOD, but it looks like i have a second problem causing the freezing. Because im not getting and BSOD does that mean no dump files therefore no way of pin pointing the problem?

    Basically I am asking what can I do to help you help me... I dont mind paying to get this fixed but it seems its beyond most of the IT people I have spoken to, but you.

    Did you completely remove the controller from the board. If not do so, even if the drives are not hooked to it the driver is still causing the issue I believe. Before you remove the controller though in post 12 in your screen shot uninstall the driver plus the software associated with it and when it ask you to restart say no! Then go to start and then "SHUTDOWN" the computer completely and then pull the card and then reboot. This will ensure that the software and driver is removed before windows would have a chance to reinstall anything for the controller. Good luck
