    Hey japrestone, I'm good I don't get to frustrated at least I don't try too LOL! Anyhow I think a lot of issues would be solved if you upgraded you laptop to sp1 and ou could try these hotfixes but I think sp1 would be the best bet: Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (KB976932)

    Hot fixes for tcpip.sys: Error message on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2: "STOP: 0x00000050"
    You receive a stop error after you enable the RequireinClearout mode on an IPv6 network on Windows Server 2008 R2 or in Windows 7

    OK...I have installed the service pack..guess I'll test out a game


    Edit: and again ...I've sent off a returns form to ebuyer.com where I bought it from...gonna ring them on monday and see if they'll replace it. They bloody better do.

I did not have these problems on Vista. 1. When I run steam, i open half-life 2 (its the only game atm that I installed). I see a black screen where the VALVE and SOURCE logo should be. I also hear the sound that plays as the logos are shown, but I only see black. I see no creepy valve logo...
