PSU is possible, but there is no reliable way of testing that without actually replacing it. Still, more likely is the motherboard or RAM. I'd recommend a new motherboard before a new PSU. If you have access to a different PSU, though, that's a different story. If you can easily replace the PSU, it would be good to try.

If the PSU is low-quality or just aging, you could get small voltage fluctuations and less overall power output. Your system could still boot, but you'd get random reboots and BSODs. If sending the PSU back under warranty is feasible, it is worth your time, but I'd still suspect motherboard or RAM.

i think its my PSU because before my pc worked well!! can an faulty psu cause this problems? now m experiencing shutdowns at 55c of cpu i.e when i play games and then it does not start until i switch off my main power and switch it on after 2-5mins, sometimes i get frequent shutdowns, but re-inserting ram works, but now-a-days when i switch it on by above techniques just the fans rotate for a second and no beep is heard and then again i have to turn main power off or re-insert the ram i have to repeat it 3-4 times ................... please help guyz please
