Great, I installed the ATK0110 driver, played an hour or so of games then my PC got a BSOD and now whenever I restart, the Windows 7 screen doesn't pop up!

It shows a black screen and a white mouse cursor.

    Arrrgghhhhh.

    <charlie brown yell>

What do I do now? I tried system recovery using my Windows 7 disc but it says nothing is wrong with my PC.

Do i have to format my PC?

I didn't have any important files on there, just a few programs.

When you install a driver it should create a Restore Point. Boot into the DVD Repair console or Repair CD, click through to Recovery Tools list to System Restore to before the driver was installed.

It may have been the wrong driver.

I tried System Restore twice, each time it would show this (see screen below).

The third time my PC crashed...

Open a Command Prompt to run SFC -SCANNOW Run in Command Prompt at Boot
to check the integrity of System files.

To be thorough you need to check for infection as well. Download and burn to CD or write to flash stick then boot to run a full scan with Microsoft Standalone System Sweeper. If it finds infection, run SFC again if it still won't start.

Copy out your files if necessary using DVD with this method: Copy & Paste - in Windows Recovery Console

Then clean reinstall following these steps carefully to get a Perfect Reinstall
which will give you a baseline to rule out the OS.

I tried running sfc /scannow but I got this message:

Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.

Then when I tried to run Microsoft Standalone System Sweeper I get this this (see screen).

Does the HD still register in BIOS? I'd download maker's HD Diagnostic to run exxtended CD scan.

Have you tried a clean reinstall yet to rule out the OS and make sure you've got it as perfectly installed as possible?

In your case I'd first wipe the HD in case you have boot sector corruption or infection: SSD - HDD Optimize for Windows Reinstallation

It's currently formatting the hard drive using the clean all method.

I think it's going to be awhile, i'll post again in a few hours.

    About one hour per 320gb.

It's a good sign the HD is still functioning.

    Perfect Reinstall

Back, the clean was successful, installed Windows 7 so everything is fresh.

Should I change the voltage of the memory now or wait and see if it crashes?

Also should I reinstall the ATTK0110 drivers?

    Update:

Spent an hour or so watching Youtube videos then it crashed.

I'm gonna turn it off and see what your advice to do is.

Note: I haven't installed a virus scanner and I have Windows Automatic Updates turned off.
