Hi JAP160 welcome to SF :)

You mean everything is set by default to open with office word?

If is that the case, then right click in any program you want to open, then choose open with, then choose default program and click in which program you want it for default.

If the program is not in the list the click Browse and find it in program files.

I attached an example for you, please view the screenshots.

Also download install and update the free http://www.superantispyware.com/down...NTISPYWAREFREE

Download install and update the free http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebyte...=dl&tag=button

Restart in safe mode and run full scan first with superantispyware then with malwarebytes.

Finish and post back with any results.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I right clicked on the internet explorer icon and then chose the internet explorer program to open ot with, and now all my programs are showing up as internet explorer icons. I.e. the default for all the programs is now internet explorer, i.e. for word documents, music documents and everything. How can I get the computer back to how it should be? Thanks
