    BSOD-->can't start it :/

    hey,
i have installed Windows 7 on my Acer Aspire One.

It ran during 1 week really fine, but now, after bios logo, windows marquee progress bar, i see really quickly a BSOD and my netbook restart automatically.
I have tried all the F8 options (safe mode, repair, etc)....no way
I have tried reinstall Seven, at end of install, freeze, and after reboot, same thing
I have tried with the install on the USB key (no cd drive on the AA1), to restore, repair and launch command prompt (chkdsk /f, bootrec /fixmbr, bootrec /fixboot) after reboot, same thing
I must say that i don't have an hard drive, i replaced the original slow SSD by a 16Gb Kingston Compact Flash

i'm currently download an Ubuntu Live CD to see what happens, but it is just temporary and help for diagnostic

If anyone can help me :)
Sorry for my poor english, i'm a damned frogg :)

Did you try downloading different builds or did you try the same one? If not, try downloading another one and check it :)

If it were me in that situation, I'd run the Win 7 Memory diagnostics in 'Advanced' mode for a little while,
taking a coffee break and have a smoke or two.

Then I'd put back the original slow SSD after removing the CF chip...

    Not too many options here...

It sounds like it may be time for the old Acer to "go into the light".

Usually BSOD's are often because of hardware or software incompatibility.

I mean did you installed a recent software which don't have a version compatible with windows 7 ? it could be that. Or did you installed an old driver?

Anyway check out the error. (which error is , irq_bad_pool , etc etc, and the numberx x50321312431132 or whatever and check on google, there is a list with all errors and what they mean).

I've done 20 or 30 bios update last past days to remove the damned Acer logo with success :)
But after the problem, i've put the original bios back

The only software modifcations i've done is uninstall properly IE8
