Dell Inspiron 1545, Windows 7, Blank login screen!

    Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum, just registered recently and hope to find some answers ...

    My problem:

So i had my latpop on last night whilst i was playing cards with my famuily just listening to music, when all of a sudden it died and brought up the dreaded blue screen and started running tests "Pre-boot System Assesment" and since then my Laptop hasn't been working.

    Process:

When i turn my laptop on now it loads the Dell logo then says "windows is loading files ..." as if it's a new laptop, then loads some more before heading on to the Windows 7 default blue screen (with a faint green flower) as where i would log on ... But it freezes on this screen and nothing pops up, but i have control over my mouse!

I've tried everywhere and everything but to no avail, such as diagnostics, tests, BIOS changes and am at my wits end! I've tried to perform a system restore (can't find my original disc) but can't get onto safe mode or anything

Any solutions would be more than welcome, and thanks for taking your time to read this

    Regards

    Mathew :)

Press F12 at boot & run the Dell diagnostic tool.

Check the hard drive with the manufacturer's diagnostic tools.
