    Unmountable_boot_volume, computer won't boot

I've gotten this BSOD a while ago and I can't figure it out...
    It's for windows xp, not 7. I hope that's okay. :S

    - x86 (32-bit) or x64 ? x86
    - the original installed OS on the system? XP
    - an OEM or full retail version? FRV
    - OEM = came pre-installed on system
    - Full Retail = you purchased it from retailer

    - What is the age of system (hardware)? about 5 years :P
    - What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) No.

The BSOD Unmountable_boot_volume comes up whenever I try to boot. The Safe mode doesn't work. It brings up the bsod after the Safe Mode boots.

    Help pl0x.

It may be the HDD itself.

Run HDD diagnostics - SeaTools (for DOS) - http://www.seagate.com/ww/v/index.jsp?locale=en-US&name=SeaTools&vgnextoid=720bd20cacdec010VgnVCM100000dd04090aRCRD

Burn ISO to CD with ImgBurn - http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download

Boot with SeaTools CD; run LONG test.

    Regards. . .

    Thanks for the reply.

My CD drive doesn't work, it's jammed in.

Replace/ borrow another CD drive and install it to run the tests.

Or connect the HDD as a slave to another system and run tests.
