new computer crashing

    new computer crashing


    my computer screen will randomly turn off but the computer stays on, the screen will only come back on if i restart the computer. my video drivers are up to date and i enabled minidump files but i dont have a folder

    well i did what you had suggested, but when my computer crashes i could be in the middle of working on something and the screen goes black

    A When you checked did you found anything enable?


    B Did you set all the settings to never?


    Crashes with bsod or just a black screen?

    yes there were things enabled and i switched them to never , then as i was watching a video screen goes black. when ever it crashes it goes black no blue screen

    Download and install driver sweeper Driver Sweeper


    Download the most recent software\driver for your graphic card AMD Graphics Drivers & Software


    Uninstall
    ati software\driver,restart in safe mode,run driver sweeper,choose only AMD-Display and clean,restart in normal mode.


    Install
    the new ati software\driver


    Update
    DirectX



    Post back with results.

    yes i had everything updated but still it crashes, and its not over heating reaching 64c while playing dirt3 or team fortress

    We need to check the hardware's.

    Graphic card test.Read very carefully the tutorial then run
    Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark
    Finish.

    Memory ram test.Read very carefully the tutorial then run
    RAM - Test with Memtest86+
    Leave it to run overnight if possible.
    Finish.

    CPU test.Read very carefully the tutorial then run
    Hardware - Stress Test With Prime95
    Finish and post back the results.

    well i did the furmark test and ran it for 40mins and temp didn't go above 75c then i stopped the test and 15 sec. later my screen turned orange it has happened to me twice

    ""Watch for artifacts on the screen, and keep an eye on the temperature log. If you see artifacts, or the temperature levels out, stop the test.""

    Did you saw any artifacts or anything unusual during the test?
