Driver_irql_not_less_than_or_equal error message with DVDFab

Has anyone had any problems with using DVDFab on new laptop computers? I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite P755-S5215 with Windows 7, and as soon as I install ANY version of DVDFab, I keep getting the blue screen with with the error message "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL" each and every time. I have updated all the drivers through Windows and Toshiba, gone through a registry cleaner, there is no problem with the memory (I did a diagnostic), and taken it to Best Buy where I got the computer where the Geek Squad guy told me, "Just remove the program--some programs just don't work with some computers" (which I think is a line of bologna). I even contacted DVDFab and "Vivian" keeps referring me to a website from a guy who posted 7 methods to fixing the blue screen of death (for memory issues) and has been of no help to me. Does anyone have any ideas?

Just googled it and there are pages of problems. what version are you running?


We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.


To ensure minidumps are enabled:

* Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
* Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
* Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
* Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
* Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
* OK your way out.
* Reboot if changes have been made.

I have also posted the BSOD Dump and System File Collection folder (Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2) and health system report as directed in a previous post. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. It is the original OS that is installed but it was preinstalled on the computer when I bought it. I just bought this computer less than a month ago.

these were Related to Saibad64.sys Disk Filter Driver from Sonic Solutions. Yours is three years old. I would remove it to test

Sorry about the delay--I was out of town. How do I remove it? And do I replace it with something else? How can a computer less than a month old have a driver that is 3 years old installed on it?
