Kernal 41 Error and WHEA logging errors - 1 Solution

Hi, just wanted to share 1 solution I seem to have found with These errors.

They have been plaguing me some time with this, since I updated my system: I have:

Amd X4 955 3.02 Processor
M4A785D-M PRO Motherboard
Kingston 1066 Memory

I was getting at my wits end with this, and on the verge of giving up, as the computer would only reboot itself, once a day! Really weird. I would get up in the morning, and as a test would turn on, leave it running while I was in the bathroom, and pretty much certain, when I got out, it would have rebooted, however I could then leave the computer on all day, no problems at all!

Anyway, last week, decided to try something different, the problem is I have a few devices connected and been trying to rule these out.

So far I suspected Bios settings, memory settings(manual for 1066 to run) Soundcard(have creative one, took out and still left this out, as the onboard seems to do a good job, power settings, (upgraded to a 700w power supply).

Anyway, last Sunday, decided to reinstall my MY PC, although done this before, I usually go and load everything back straight away. Decided this time to do this gradually, and make a note of each day what I was installing.

1. Installed Windows 7 64bit back on(also had tried 32bit, both had been doing the same!) Installed some of the updates, but left SP1, as had been reading things about this. Installed Office, Adobe photoshop ect and Printer. Next morning, working fine.

And I just carried on like this in the week, but noting down what I was installing.

However, Mid week, I installed my Sata external Drive and Epu Engine, Nero Autobackup and webcam. The system crashed shortly afterwards... I then used system restore to go back to before the first thing I installed this day which was the Epu engine, so it left everything else out as well.

Carried on the next couple of days with installing other items, and was working fine.

I then installed back the Esata drive, and then setup Autobackup. It did run for half and hour then crashed. So, I decided to get rid of the Esata cable, and put the drive back to USB. Been working fine. Then yesterday I also tried the Web cam drive. Crashed again, so did a system restore to before I installed that. I would normally use the uninstall to get rid of the drivers, but I don't trust this, and concerned that it would leave the remants of something to do with the webcam there.

The computer is still running fine.

So I do suspect it is the drivers with the webcam( a Philips SPC710NC/00), and also the Esata cable. This was a cheap ebay cable so might have been shorting out something as well.

Also one other thing I had found was the other week, one of the metal lugs on the back of the case was touching a usb port(I couldn't have put this in properly when fitting the motherboard.

Also one suggestion I had read, and followed this was not to use the driver for the motherboard that MS Update says. So I downloaded all the drivers from ASUS website.
