steelseriesengine error CLR20r3

hey, im new to the forums so i hope this is the right thread,

i recently bought a steelseries sensei the mouse itself is really grate
but i've ben having some problem with the software.
i was just going to install the software steelseriesengine.exe and it installed succesfully the program is gonna help you change macros & the lights of the mouse etc. well the program immediately crashes when i open it upp leaving me with this error

Description:
Stopped working

Problem Signature 08: 8c
Problem Signature 09: System.TypeInitialization
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
Locale ID: 1033

i tried changing compatability options but it didnt work either.

i got windows 7 64bit sp1, and microsoft .NET 4.0 and 3.5 but not 3.5.1
i cant uppdate to 3.5.1 beacus it says : "You must use "Turn windows features on or off" in the control panel to install or configure microsoft .NET framework 3.5 sp1.

i tried to do that and i unchecked Microsoft .net framework 3.5.1 and nothing happend i also tried it checked but no difference.

then put my brothers microsoft .NET folder from he's pc since i heard on some forums it could fix it aswell but it didnt.

im totally clue-less with this error but it seems to be microsoft . NET's fault thoug im not sure and i hope you guys maybe know what the problem is.

oh i also tried to use the windows repair cd but that didnt help and i cant restore i allready tried that.
