Random BSOD - Often At Night

    Hey Everyone!

Recently (past several months), I am experiencing apparently random BSOD on my 3 year old PC. It sometimes happens when I am using it (anything from watching a YoutTube video to working on setting up a printer network connection), but more often happens when the machine is still running through the night; I wake up to a rebooted machine. It runs an FTP server, so I leave it running 24/7. It has been happening about once a day or two. I ran a Memtest and it found no errors.

    System:
Windows 7 x64 - Upgraded From Vista x64 (The HD migrated from an older machine.)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Run Prime 95 to test your CPU. Carefully the instructions in this tutorial: CPU - Stress Test with Prime95. Run 3 separate tests, one on each of the settings (Blend, Small FFTs, Large FFTs). Post back with your results.

The SMART Board Technologies HID Device Driver should be updated, the current version is not compatible with Windows 7. This is possibly related to a tablet Input device

Thanks for sending me in the right direction! The SmartBoard drivers get installed with the creation software for my SmartBoard at work, so this comp is never attached to it.

When I ran Prime95, it BSOD-ed within a minute. I went in and reset the bios to default, non-overclocked anything and it was stable. Researched some other overclock settings for the i7 920 and found some that work now. The previous had worked for 3 years. I guess it just wanted a change, hehehe.

    Thanks again!
