BSOD, "Mem Management" just did clean install

Just finished a clean install the night before. Loaded up league of legends and the game had not started but was in "champ select." I believe the client uses adobe air before the game actually launches. Anyway, I BSOD and the error says "Mem Management."

:/ Really disappointing a few hours after a clean install I BSOD. Most likely a hardware problem?

    -Thanks

    Two obvious problems

    1-ASACPI.SYS

The pre 2009 version of this driver is a known BSOD cause.

Please visit this link: ASUS teK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download P7P55D LE
ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download P7P55D LE

Scroll down to the Utilities category, then scroll down to the "ATK0110 driver for WindowsXP/Vista/Windows 7 32&64-bit" (it's about the 12th item down).
    Download and install it.
Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers to check and make sure that the ASACPI.SYS file is date stamped from 2009 or 2010 (NOT 2005).

2- Your Symantec. A known cause of BSOD's. I would remove and replace with Microsoft Security essentials

    ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/englis...moval_Tool.exe

Virus, Spyware & Malware Protection | Microsoft Security Essentials

I did the first part and successfully updated ASACPI.SYS.

For the second part, is it possible to tell how likely it is that Symantec would be the cause? I did pay for the protection and thus want to hold onto it if possible but would ultimately uninstall it if it meant getting rid of the BSOD.

Thanks, Any further insight would be appreciated

Well I would say likely but wait a bit and see if updating asacpi.sys stops the BSOD's. If so you are gold, if not Delete Symantec (btw Symantec can cause all sorts of flaky problems like freezing, crashes, slow ISP connections, etc).

NOT Symantec rather your DirectX. I would re-install both the video driver and directX

Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - DirectX End-User Runtime
