    BSOD SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION 0x0000003b

I’ve had a few BSODs lately on my Acer 8920G laptop. However, sometimes the PC can run 7 days straight with no reboot and without any BSODs.

I’m really not sure how to read the log and dmp files so I signed up here to be able to post and hopefully to get your help - I could really use some help solving the issues..

I’ve followed the ”Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions” and all requested files should be contained in the zip archive.

    - Windows 7 is 64-bit and a full retail version (the Acer laptop came preinstalled with Vista).
    - The laptop is approx. 3 years old
    - Win 7 was re-installed 2 months ago after similar crashes/BSODs

The hardware specs is included in the zip file, otherwise they can also be found here: Acer Support: Aspire 8920G Series Specifications

I’ll keep my fingers crossed and hope someone is able to help me.

    Thanks.

How to find and update drivers? Read here Best way to update drivers for free?

Run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker you may need to run it 2-3 times to "fix" everything.

Run RAM - Test with Memtest86+

Finish with these steps and post back with any results.

    Thank you!

I'll follow you suggestions and report back.

    One question:
The Nvidia driver that was installed was version: 280.26 WHQL
According to several sites it is notoriously unstable. Could this be the culprit?

    Maybe yes.

You can try\test using other versions.
