Random Application Crashes in new Windows 7 Build

I'll start with some history first. The computer was build two weeks ago and when I 1st built the computer I was getting a random reboot that was caused by a Kernel power error. I slowly increased the voltage being supplied to the ram and this problem went away.

I was then getting random application crashes; mostly in IE9 and in Eveonline. At the time I had Norton Internet Security 2012 installed. After one crash; Norton kept popping up errors in trying to load. After dealing with Norton's customer support I decided to go ahead and just do a fresh install of Windows 7.

I did the fresh install as a clean install and started to install all the windows 7 updates. After the clean install; I started to get BSOD's again (NTFS_FILE_System; PFN_LIST_Corrupt; KMODE_Exception_Not_Handled; SPECIAL_Pool_Detected_Memory_Corruption). These were solved by slowly raising the memory voltage. I found out my model motherboard seems to undervolt the memory for some reason.

I've also ran driver verifier and it threw one bsod; which was caused by a Norton Internet Security driver. I went ahead and uninstalled NIS (used the uninstall and then ran Norton's removal tool).

I've not had any BSOD's since; but I'm still getting random application crashes. I would say that most of the crashes have been in IE9; but tonight I started getting some MMC crashes while in Event viewer.

    The IE9 Crashes have been:

These were just this evening; after having 2 Eve clients open and trying to do some internet surfing using IE9. Just about all the application crashes have had an exception code of: 0xc0000005 and that originally made me think it was a memory issue; but I downloaded and ran the latest version of memtest for 19 hours and it didn't find any errors (this was 5 or 6 passes total). So I'm having trouble thinking that I'm having problems with the memory.

I've also ran the SFC /scannow command and it has also came back with no issues.

Under msconfig; startup; I only show: MS Intellitype pro; Intellipoint; Realtek HD audio manager; microsoft security client; USB 3.0 monitor; Adobe Reader and Acrobat Manager; and Java Platfor SE Auto Updater 2 0.

I've never had this much trouble getting a new computer stable. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

In the majority of these the faulting module is Javascript9.dll. I would start by re-installing both Java and Flash.

I've gone ahead and uninstalled both java and flash and reinstalled both and I'll see how it goes.

Shortly after I reinstalled both programs and then went to check and see if that helped and I ended up with the following crash:

I'm starting to think that I have an hardware issue and that it is the motherboard that is causing the problem since the ram tested out ok with memtest. I've asked for some help on the manufacture's user forum also to see what they think.

    Faulting module is nvwgf2um.dll

If it was a crash please upload the DMP file.

No BSOD so no dump file was created. I was just getting the message that IE stopped working and that it was restarting and it would do this a few times in quick order. I would then close IE and reboot.

Also since the last set of crashes; I can no longer pull up search results using yahoo search; it goes to the search page and then I see the hourglass (round circle) but IE9 has not hung; just the search page never loads. Also when trying to log into gmail; the login boxes are streched across the screen and the gmail page looks funny. Almost like IE9 can't tell the page layout any longer.

I'm too the point to where I think I'm going to to do another clean install of Windows 7 (this will be for the 3rd time) and if that doesn't solve the problem. Then I'll RMA the motherboard and see if a replacement fixes the issue.

I've also set the memory to run at 1066 instead of 1333 to see if that helps make it stable; but with the IE issues; I can't really tell if that helped.

Wanted to let you know that I ended up RMA'ing 1st the Motherboard and then the RAM; due to the ramdom crashes and other little problems that I was running into.

When the new motherboard arrived I tested the exisiting ram with the new motherboard and 3 of the 4 sticks passed memtest.

RMA'ed the ram and the new ram arrived last Thursday. Tested the new ram 1 stick at a time and they all passed memtest. Left 1 stick in and installed windows 7 and it installed smoothly.

On Friday I reinstalled the rest of the ram and remounted the motherboard into the case. I finished getting the windows updated and installing 90% of the rest of the software.

Running into to no problems so far; and no crashes.

So I'm pretty sure that my problem was caused by a combination of both the motherboard and ram.
