Ok. I ran the tests, and one HD (not my boot HD) passed the S.M.A.R.T test but faild short drive self test.
Any advise?
I still don't know what to do with the ati driver? Should I uninstall it or not?
Seems the issue is your HDD, run the extended test. If it fails you should backup all your data in case the drive crashes.
I suggest doing a full Hard drive image using Reflect, you can then restore this image to a new HDD.

The drive faild the test. What's next?
Again - this is NOT my boot drive and I have no valuable data on it.
Here's an update: The problem wan't solved.
I removed the IVT software and updated the ATI driver.
When I tried to install the DirectX the installation failed and I got an erroe message saying:
An internal error ocurred. Please refer to DXError.log and DirectX.log in your windows folder to determine problem.
I also removed the HDD that failed the seatols tests, but I still get a message saying that my of my disks need to be checked for consistency, but than the procedures stops.
I am still getting BSOD.
Any further help would be appreciated.
The cables are connected ok.
Can you elaborate on your second suggestion?
I'm returning here because the situation got worse.
I'm getting BSOD almost every day (somtimes few times per day) and my pc keep freezing (sometime right after start up) and I have to re-boot.
I checked my bios and what I found written there is:
onChip SATA type - native IDE
onChip SATA port type - IDE.
As I'm not an expert, I didn't want to try updating the bios by myself.
I would appreciate any further assistance.
