Windows 7 Running Slow and Freezing

    If no HDD in BIOS, then Windows cannot find it either.

    It appears that your HDD has failed.

    What work did the Geek Squad do on the system a few weeks ago?

    Oh, I was afraid of that.
    When I sent it to Geek Squad a few weeks ago, they didn't actually do any work on it. One of the hinges had broken, and so they sent it off for a price consultation. It started slowing down maybe five or six days after I got it back.

    HDD has likely failed.

    I would suggest that you re-seat HDD and check the cable.
