BSOD happens on the initial loading of windows 7 pro 64 bit

When I get the login screen, I just see the buffer LED glowing for 1 minute. Then it calms down. Then after logging in, the buffer LED keeps glowing for 5 minutes and my computer is terribly slow. If I do nothing through all this operation and just wait, all will be okay. So usually I can use my laptop after 8 minutes from turning it on.

On the other hand, if i directly start opening applications before the buffer LED turns off (sometime only firefox), I directly get the bsod. Each time I get a different code for it. Why is this happening? Please find below the laptop specs and things that I have tried.

Laptop specs:
HP DV7 2040us model
2 x 250 GB harddisks
4 gb RAM
quad core processor
ATI 4650 Graphic card
Harddisk 2 has 50 gb reserved in ext4 Format and not NTFS
The cooling fan occasionally makes some noise but the temp is always monitored

Things that I tried in Chronological Order:
Full format and installing windows 7 again (I used vista previously)
Scan using Microsoft security essentials
Scan using a licensed Avast internet security (after uninstalling MSE)
My startup menu has only 5 essential things so that it can run
Driver checking
Memory checking
Avast Boot scans

Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit. SP1.

We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.

To ensure minidumps are enabled:

*Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl Press Enter.
*Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery - Settings... button.
*Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
*Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kb) in the drop down box (the 256kb varies).
*Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
Reboot if changes have been made.
