clean install, crash after win7 logo, works before.

hi and hello, this is the first time i meet something very...very.. VERY.. strange..problem, therefore i register me at this site after searching for three hours.. to find a soulution..

i bought a new setup, moved all old stuff to another empty computer case or what.

the only i didnt moved to the old case was the PSU and some harddrives.

first time i started the computer with the SSD (with functional OS of win7x64)
everything works fine.. but it crashed some random times inside the windows, i thought it was because of the drivers, i got that fixed by removing one graficcard. So i thought it was better to whip all the data from SSD and make a clean installation, stability installation.

i wipe the SSD drive from my old OS and installed a new one, in one step of the win7x64 installation, it crash and wont boot up. strange, i had not been at the bios with my fingers, after trying with some solution in 6h i change the ODC-> marvellSata6G controller to AHCI mode, main -> storage configuration to ACHI, in bios. Wont work.. I tried to change them to IDE, wont work either. I removed the two others ram sticks, it wont work either..

uhm,the total time i been working of this in three days to get a clean win7 to boot at this motherboard.

at last.. i luckly installed the OS to the SSD at my new setup and then move it to the old setup. That works.. first time, then the computer wont boot windows again.

Asus rampage gene 3
intel 3,2ghz
1333mhz, 2gb Corsair xms3 ddr3 ( one stick in case)
standard dvd/rw
hiper psu 550w
ATI HD 5500

• i checked the ram in memtest, everyone is ok..
• the SSD works like charm, its like new..
• the ATI 5500 card was functional before installation and its new
• i have disconnected the dvd and the screen to see if that couse the issue without result.
• the PSU should work fine..

im out of ideas.. someone help me..?

Hello and welcome to Sevenforums!

You say you moved everything over, did you do it the right way? Did you remove the CPU fan from the motherboard? Is your computer over-heating and/or not getting enough air?

Resetting the BIOS might be an easy method (It will reset back to IDE), or you can take it on one at a time: AHCI mode should either be enabled in the BIOS BEFORE you install the operating system, or this method, afterwards.

Please use this so that I can offer further advice. I know you've given me some of the info already, but I would prefer this way: Fill out your system specs (this tool may help you out a great deal). If your computer will not start, obvously the tool will not work :)

Hopefully we can manage to have this figured out in short order.

hi again! i moved the hole piece of the motherboard+fan, i did CMOS the bios to default settings, that didnt work either..

I found the problem that coused the crash.. Very.. strange i must say, but pretty simple..

The bios regonized 1066mhz ram sticks, but in real life it was 1333mhz.. so.. i was forced to try OC both CPU and ram. All I had to do was unlock the CPU to x25 and raise the memory to 1333, but in the sametime it working around 2000mhz each stick, hurray!

My teory of the crash was that while loading files to ram, everything didnt accualy load and that couse the load crash.

yesterday, i tried in the last to run ubuntu on the machine, then it crash also in the installation.. therefore i thought it must be something with the memory, a short check in the bios i found out that the memory setup wasnt right and from that moment i started to found som ideas.
