BSOD Everytime I Open MS Office 2010 0x00000019

Hi, I have been getting BSODs every time I open an office file (excel, word, powerpoint) on my laptop using MS Office Standard 2010. This is consistent and happens everytime an Office file is opened.

Now the interesting thing is that it all works fine when I log into the my local user. The BSODs only happen when I am logged into my work domain. Also, the BSOD seems to happen using Excel, Word, Power Point. Outlook runs fine.

So far I have reinstalled office. I have run sfc /scannow 2 times and it has found nothing. I have installed BlueScreenView to try and diagnose the error. All I can find is that it says it is caused by win32k.sys and I don't know where to go from there. I have checked the video, audio and intel drivers and they seem up to date. I plan on running memtest tonight.

I received the laptop on Friday. It was working fine on the domain Friday afternoon and Monday morning. It started happening late monday morning and I hadn't changed anything at that point.

My laptop is a Metabox P170HM
    i7 2960XM
    GTX580M
    16GB 1600 RAM
    256GB Crucial SSD
    Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 OEM

I have attached the dump files as per the instructions in the sub-forum. Apart from the memtest I am getting to the limits of what I can do to diagnose this. I'll let you know how that goes tomorrow.

    Hi seraphim

Check out the following solutions on this forum:
    https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...gmgrerr24.html

Remember to use the search feature on the forum where there may be
answers to your problem solved previously by someone else in similar circumstances.

In your case, within the system diagnostic report which you have provided,
the cpuz software which you are actually using to monitor cpu, memory etc..
could be the cause of your problem. It may have loaded a driver which is
    not compatible with your system

It could also be a malware problem so try downloading, installing and
running a malware removal program such as Spybot Search and Destroy
or Super Anti Spyware- both are free.

The other thing you should do in relation to cpuz software is to research the system
requiements to run the software and see if it is compatible with the hardware you run.
Uninstall it if neccessary and then re-install if the specs are ok.
It looks like there might be a corrupt file in the setup of this software.

Let us know how you go.

    Cheers :)
PS: You need some sort of antivirus on your machine!!!!
And also - welcome to Windows Seven Forums

Forgot to mention that I am no expert on BSOD's and / or the analysis
of dump files, however the System Health Report you have generated seems
to indicate the problem I am mentioning. Maybe for some reason MS Office just
doesn't wanna play ball with the cpuz software.

Anyway- if I haven't been able to solve your problem, post your reseults and there
will surely be someone who will be able to help you- I see that zigzag is looking right
now and I just checked the credentials so I'm probably about to be told I'm wrong :)
    Hi zig!

Thanks for the reply AllOnTheBus. OK, I ran memtest86+ all last night and it completed 4 passes with 0 errors.

I'm not sure what is going on with CPUZ as it is not installed. Unless Intel Extreme Tuning uses it somehow I'm not sure why those cpuz133 drivers are there. There are no mention of that driver in the dump files as well.

The only other thing I can try is uninstalling all the windows updates that I did on the weekend. If that doesn't work maybe a re-install of windows is in order.

I think I have gotten to the bottom of it. Our IT guy reset my profile on the domain because we thought it might have been that seeing as office worked on my local user and blue screened on the domain. The profile is about 7 years old and it had a lot of garbage and old files in it. That seemed to fix it. Though as part of setting up my new profile I had to add a network printer again (it uses a system driver). As soon as I did that excel was blue screening again. So I deleted the printer and installed it again using a driver I got off the net and everything seems OK. That explains why the local user was OK as well as I hadn't installed that printer driver on that user. It's a bit strange that office was OK for a day and a half though but I'm glad that's all fixed now.
