    Windows 7 Freezes during shutdown,

    Hi guys,

Everytime I attempt to shutdown Windows 7 freezes at the "Shutting Down" screen with the little moving circle. I looked in Event Viewer and all I'm seeing is a WMI Event ID10 error:

"Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected."

I have no idea what's going on so any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks scrooge. I haven't tried that yet, however I just shut down and after it once again froze I checked the event viewer and there were no errors there at all, so now I'm thinking its not ID10 related. Any ideas anyone?

I managed to solve this. It was a keyboard I had plugged into the front USB port, oddly enough. Thanks anyway!
