C:\ & D:\ had some chkdsk errors. Backup any data you consider valuable to another drive, DVD, or USB stick.

Download and run HDDscan - post the report. This will gauge the health of your drive(s), it doesn't fix anything.

Cahndan Singh: Sorry, I should have been more clear

Please put both the html and the associated image folder into a compressed folder (zip) and attach that to a post. For now, I modified the html report and used forum icons to convey what the yellow and red icons would have shown - no need to repost.

I'm not sure there's too much that can be done for your drive, the report is not good.

Have you backed up your data as I previously suggested or is the drive in such bad condition that you cannot? If you haven't - please do it now, you might not get another opportunity.

My computer just displayed the same screen that started this discussion; consequently I've been reading about it and found myself on this forum.

Please correct me if I'm missing something but it appears that the warning Could Not Be More Incorrect.

If you turn off the computer your hard drive may die and you would be unable to recover anything.

Instead, you should NOT turn off your computer until you have double checked all of your backups and have a replacement hard drive cloned. Also do not place your computer into "Hibernate" mode; just leave it on and replace the hard drive.

If your hard drive is actually healthy then you have 2 hard drives. For the price of hard drives it is a small price to pay to not have to rebuild a new hard drive.
