BSOD playing APB: Reloaded, error 0x00000116

Hey guys, hoping you can help me with this one. I've been googling the past couple of days and have found several people having this problem, but with no conclusive fix.

Basically, I've just started playing APB: Reloaded via Steam, and every time I play it I get no further than say 20 minutes before it freezes, the sound freaks out and starts making a weird looping sequences of buzzes, and the graphics on-screen get replacedeither by weird red/blue blobs or just simply go green. It does not respond to CTRL+ALT+DEL or any other button presses, and I have to power cycle the machine. Windows will then tell me that it has just recovered from a blue screen upon logging back in.

According to BlueScreenView, the errors are usually caused by dxgkrnl.sys, dxgmms1.sys or nvlddmkm.sys.

I've attempted to debug this myself but I can't seem to get the symbols right so it doesn't output properly. I was wondering if one of you kind gentleman could have a look at it for me and suggest a fix.

I have tried the following in an attempt to fix it:

    - Updated BIOS
    - Updated graphics & audio drivers
    - reinstalled DirectX 11

    But no good.

    System Specs:

    Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 x64 (Retail)
    ASUS P5QL-CM motherboard
    Intel Core 2 Quad 2.5GHz Q8300
    4GB DDR2 RAM
    1TB Samsung SATA HDD
NVIDIA Geforce GTS 250 1GB graphics card

No overclocking or any other sort of modification has been done. I've had the PC in this state with no changes made since November 2009.

    Many thanks in advance.

Thanks for that panais. Apologies for the delay; only just got chance to run the GPU tests.

Unfortunately I've tried all of that and the error persists. I did the OCCT tests and got no errors both on stress test and memory test.

    And more suggestions?

Remove any software which uses the Tages Sa copy protection software, the driver dates back to 2004 and isn't even compatible with Windows 7

Uninstall any Arcsoft software(multimedia related) and LogMeIn software. Those are outdated
       Information

Please visit this link: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download P7P55D LE
Scroll down to the Utilities category, then scroll down to the "
    ATK0110 driver for WindowsXP/Vista/Windows 7 32&64-bit" (it's about the 12th item down).
    Download and install it.
Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers to check and make sure that the ASACPI.sys file is date stamped from 2009 or 2010 (NOT 2005)

    Code:
    ASACPI.sys fffff880`0f235000 fffff880`0f23d000 0x00008000 0x42476c4c 28/03/2005 06:30:36

    Thanks for the help guys.

I've managed to update/remove all but the following:

    lirsgt.sys
    sncduvc.sys
    GEARAspiWDM.sys

Anyone know how I can do this?

I know lirsgt.sys relates to copyright protection but how am I to know what software it applies to so I can remove it?

EDIT: So far it is still crashing, but is not creating minidumps anymore.

lirsgt.sys might be used by some pre-2008 Games or Software.
