Windows 7 reboots when idle, no BSOD
Hi all,
I've recently moved all my components to a new case and I'm have a problem with Windows rebooting if I've not touched the computer in around 20 minutes.
There's no BSOD, and no memory dumps take place - it's as if I've pressed the restart button. I've checked the event log, but all that's there is a warning that the computer was not powered down properly. The bug check parameters in this message are all 0x0. Besides that, there are no errors or even warnings that might indicate a cause of the fault.
I've double checked my power settings and at the moment my computer will never sleep or turn the HDDs off. My BIOS is updated to the latest version, as is Windows.
The problem ONLY happens when the computer is idle. I can play a graphically intensive game for hours without any problems.
I'm pretty sure it's not a hardware fault or I'd be seeing these issues at other times besides idling. It seems OK in safe mode too, leading me to think it's possibly a driver issue?
Any help/suggestions/ideas would be much appreciated.
Cheers!
