BSOD - Windows 7 on Macbook Pro

    Hi,

I have a brand new MacBook pro and have installed Windows 7 Premium Home x64 (OEM) on it with Bootcamp.

Hardware and software are two weeks old.

    System specs:

    Intel i7
    8GB RAM (2x4GB)
    512GB SSD

I keep getting random BSODs. They are happening sometimes when I am using the computer, but many times when I have just left it for a couple of mins.

I have attached a zip with a couple of error files and .dmp files, can anyone please help me?

Hardly random and Related to FSPFltd.sys File System Filter from FSPro Labs. Yours is from 2008.

I would remove it at least to test.

    Second issue

I do notice Symantec which is a frequent cause of BSOD's. I would remove and replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST

    Third issue

    Please update to SP-1 asap.

Learn how to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1)

    Thanks for the feedback.

Sorry when I wrote "random" I meant at random times not random causes.

I will try to remove that file first, then if it is still causing problems I'll stop Norton and run that file again.

When it comes to Service Pack 1 my system is showing that I already have it. Do the logs show different?

    Thanks

    No worries.

    Your choice re: Symantec.

My apologies re: SP-1 your do indeed have it installed, I just missed it. On re-examination it has been applied.
