Windows 7 - BSOD when i plug my External Hard drive
Hi everyone,
I am in need of someone helping me to find a solution cause I have found nothing at all to fix it.
The issue is that every time I plug in my Seagate Freeagent Go external hard drive I get BSOD a few moments after. This only started happening yesterday after it froze, it was plugged into a media player and randomly froze. I often use it with media players, although yesterday it was plugged into a new one.
Over about 10 BSOD's it had shown me 3-4 different errors. One being ntfs.sys, with the description being something along the lines of "Something has tried to write itself to a read-only file". Sorry it's not exactly accurate, but it's along those lines.
if anyone can share some info on it or maybe links to fix it I would be extremely grateful.
Here are my specs:
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)
Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Model: HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC
BIOS: InsydeH20 Version CCB.03.61.09F.1C
Processor: AMD A8-3530 MX APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics (4 CPUs), ~1.9GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
VGA: AMD Radeon(TM) HD 6620G
Sound Card: IDT High Definition
Thanks for any help :)
