Definitely possible that individually they will pass, just as it is possible that they will fail when jointly they were fine.

Might mean a mobo slot, voltage, etc. Is all the ram from a single package?
    Yes, same package, it's a 2x4GB kit.

Now I'm getting a little bit worried. I hope this current test I'm having will fail because that will indicate that one of the sticks is indeed damaged. This is a brand new laptop that I bought from the US internationally (I'm from the Philippines) for crying out loud
    Is it still under warranty?
Yes, as I've indicated in the OP the system is only 2 weeks old.

Be careful that nothing you do will void the warranty. Were it me I might be tempted to return it. I know its intl and a PITA.

It's weird though that when the RAM is in slot 2 and I look at the SPD information in CPU-Z it says 9-9-9-27 as well. When I run Memtet86+ it says 6-6-6-20 for slot 2. What could it be?

Testing RAM1 and RAM2 both in each slot produced no errors after 7-8 passes. I retested again with both of them installed and there was immediately an error in Pass 1, Test 5. Other info:

    Failing address is 000a6f55728 - 2671.3MB
    Good is 00000000
    Bad 00000400
    Err-Bits is 00000400
    Count is 1
    Chan is "blank"

Is this information going to help?

I'm off to testing RAM1 and RAM2 together in slot 3 and slot 4 now and will post the results.

    RAM1 and RAM2 together in slot3 and slot4 results:

    Failing address is 0009dc65728 - 2524.3MB
    Good is 00000410
    Bad 00000010
    Err-Bits is 00000400
    Count is 1
    Chan is "blank"

    Anything?

Obviously either a ram problem or a mobo problem, memtest cant tell the difference.

You should be able to find a pattern to the errors (like where this stick errors and that one doesnt, and which mobo slot errors and which dont)

Thats the only way to make any sense of it.

Often it is just easier to rma the ram then go from there.

Ok. As you can see the slots have no problems when testing a SINGLE stick. It's just when two sticks are tested will errors particularly in test 5 occurs.

Yep and that feels more like mobo (or perhaps voltage)

The thing is that it both happens for when BOTH kits are installed either in slot1/slot3 or slot2/slot4 config. It seems that it is less likely that all mobo slots are broken, right? I think it's compatibility?

If both kits were not from the same package it is the most likely cause.

Win 7 is very RAM sensitive.
