BSOD 0xf4 random moments (usually just browsing)

    happy new year ppl.
im new year resolution is getting my wife computer to work without bluescreens.
she gets 0xf4 randomly, she doesnt really game so much.. i dont know why.
the times that ive sen the bluescreens, she was facebooking, playing flash games on facebook, watching a video from her secondary drive using GOM.
her hardware: 2-3year old phenom 955 clocked @ 3.2ghz with 1.4v. 8gb ddr3-1866 clocked at 1066 (trying to be safe, new), sabertooth 990fx (new). the harddrives arent so new.
i tried the driver verifier, got the daemon tools file to crash and also a file from her mouse. uninstalled the mouse driver and updated both daemon and its sptd (or whatever is called)
i been trying "bluescreenview" and all i get is ntoskrnl.exe+7cc40 or wmiacpi.sys+f9a7d750 i even got USBSTOR.SYS+9892b30
i havent updated the amd atk file cuz.. i dont see it on device manager

please give me a hand would ya?

NOTE: I have severe eye problems. If I do not respond to your postings, please PM another staff member for assistance.

I suggest starting all troubleshooting with the following diagnostic tests (located at this link: Hardware Diagnostics ). They'll save you a lot of time and heartache if there is a hardware failure, and you'll have the disks on hand in case you need them in the future:
    H/W Diagnostics:
Please start by running these bootable hardware diagnostics:
Memory Diagnostics (read the details at the link)
Hard Drive Diagnostics (read the details at the link) - Test ALL of the hard drives.

Also, please run one of these free, independent online malware scans to ensure that your current protection hasn't been compromised: Free Online AntiMalware Resources (read the details at the link)
There are also free, bootable antivirus disks at this link: Free Online AntiMalware Resources - Bootable Disks
Because there are memory issues, and because at least one of the BSOD's blames your disk hardware - I'd strongly suggest that you perform the above diagnostics first.

Only 56 updates since SP1 - most systems have 60-70 or more. Please check Windows Update for any available updates.

The WER section of MSINFO32 shows 3 STOP 0xF4 errors all blaming core Windows components.

Uninstall Daemon Tools, then use this free tool to ensure that the offending sptd.sys driver is removed from your system: DuplexSecure - FAQ - Remove 64 bit sptd.sys
DO NOT reinstall it until we're done troubleshooting!!!

Uninstall EVGA Precision, as it's also known for causing BSOD's (FYI - Riva Tuner and MSI Afterburner also use the same components).

As this is a memory access problem (NTSTATUS of 0xc0000005) in a security module (csrss.exe), I'd have to suspect your Norton also. To test this out, please try this:
    Anti-Virus Removal:
    Please do the following:
    - download a free antivirus for testing purposes: Free AntiVirus
    - uninstall the Norton from your system (you can reinstall it, if so desired, when we're done troubleshooting)
    - remove any remnants of Norton using this free tool: http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_...080710133834EN
    - IMMEDIATELY install and update the free antivirus, then check to ensure that the Windows Firewall is turned on.
    - check to see if this fixes the BSOD's
NOTE: NEVER run more than 1 anti-virus, firewall, Internet Security/Security Center application at the same time.

I'd use the tools built into the nVidia/AMD drivers to keep the video card cool. If that's not enough, then there's a problem with the cooling or the graphics card that needs to be fixed.

    well so far
i removed the genius software, daemon and the sptd.
ran the chkdsk and still got the 0xf4
looking into it with bluescreenview 3 files are highlighed
    ntoskrnl.exe, peauth.sys and usbohci.sys.
this is a sabertooth 990fx with a usb3 port.. could the asmedia driver be screwed?
ill do the memtest rite now...
havent tried removing norton yet... ill rather leave that for last

i have a feeling thats gonna be memory... while doing this post.. several aplications crashed... wmplayer.exe brs.exe and the explorer seems to have crashed too... so either that ram is bad.. or the cpu cant handle it.. its a phenom 955.. afaik they can handle up to 1333mhz.. mine is 1866 but i have it clocked to 1066 which could be causing problems...

Please run MemTest and the Hard Drive diagnostics.
Those are the main suspects right now.

the windows "drive" are 2 hdd's on raid 0. (Seagate's) the data drive are 3xWestern digital running in raid 5...
right now, trying to run the diagnostic, one of he seagate lost conection (showing offline for the raid status @ post) i guess either the cable is dying (unlikely) or the hdd.

I had RAID 5 setup on Vista and early Win7. Too many problems for me, I finally gave up on it and settled for a single 10,000 rpm boot drive (another 10,000 rpm drive for future expansion, and a large 7200 rpm drive for storage.

    Good luck!
