Run another perfmon report and see if the error's still there. If it is, update the entire Catalyst software suite and see if that fixes the error. Even if you're not using the device, it can't be good to have a malfunctioning device on the system. Edit it by visiting the ATI website and downloading the latest drivers from there.
I'll run another report tonight and get back to you
Can't read the Driver Genius reports - they're too small. What are the drivers listed and how old are they?
I enlarged the pic
FWIW - I don't use driver management programs - mostly because the update process isn't as simple as most programs make it out to be.
Remove PowerISO and the program that uses pcouffin.sys. Without them on the system, they can't be a problem. You can easily reinstall them once we're done troubleshooting.
I will uninstall these tonight, should I also search for the driver and manually delete it if the uninstall does not get it?
Have you physically checked the motherboard? Here's one problem with some mobo's that could be an issue for you (burst/bulging capacitors):
Badcaps.net - How To Identify hmmmm I will look into this
We can't tell if the older errors are significant or not - so it's not wise to just ignore them. For example, I have to wonder if the hard drive errors (on the hard drive that you've removed) were influenced by the lack of stability in the mobo (because you have to underclock). If so, that will make us lean towards a hardware cause for this problem.
I hear ya, this was a fresh install AFTER the HD problem, It was due to a malware infestation, that cripled my XP system, that HD is still awaiting further diag and is not in this system.. I hope it was just software but......
And, is this just a single problem - or are we facing multiple problems that are causing these issues?
I think BIOS and drivers but IDK. Windows system files are not liking all this BSOD, and maybe getting corrupt (i.e. all the win32k.sys and DXxxxx files causing BSOD's)
I think that the hardware diagnostics/stress tests (that I suggested above) are becoming more important to us at this stage in our investigation. Please run them as soon as you can and report the results back here.
OK I'll save these for after the software changes.
