A real mess - advice needed please!

I have a Dell 5110 which is not 6 months old. It started to BS and so I went through all of the repair programs supplied on the machine. It got so bad I had to use Ubuntu to boot, save my data so a factory reset could happen. I've just completed this and I got to the "Setting up computer for first use" bit and it Blue Screens so can not even set it back to factory.

I don't think its a hardware issue and unfortunately I haven't got any dump files to include!

Any advice would be gratefully received.

    Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

As your computer is only 6 months old and still under warranty (I assume) I think your first port of call should be Dell customer service with a view to getting your computer repaired or replaced.

You need to be careful you don't do anything that will invalidate the warranty.

Thanks seavixen32 I haven't touched the laptop as I don't know anything about hardware so wouldn't know where to start!I'll take it back to PC World and see what they have to say.

Update: Laptop returned to PC World who are sending it back to Dell as they suspect it is a faulty motherboard. Absolutely no quibble and very helpful so thank you PC World
