BSOD every 20 mins or so

Hi everyone,
I am a newbie to the forum and hope that someone might be able to help with my problem.
I am getting BSOD practically every 10-20 mins. the message is usually mxgmms.sys. I tried swapping graphics cards to no avail.
System is:-
Win 7 ultimate SP1 32bit
Intel i7 950@3.07Ghz
4Gb Ram
Intel SS 60Gb drive
Samsung 1Tb SATA
Nvidia GTX260

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thankyou

Windows 7 Professional 64bit

Welcome to the forum Mysterypete.

The first thing that I would do is to run in safe mode and see if the same occurs. If it doesn't then a driver would be my first guess.

The second thing to try is running msconfig and disable all startup items. If you are clean after this you can add them back a few at a time until you can identify the culprit. It's a long process but the best way.

Turn off display after 10 mins; lock desktop after 30 mins?
Is it possible to turn the displays off after 10 minutes of inactivity, but for the display to lock only after 30 minutes of inactivity? The numbers are examples, but probably close to what I'd set. I'm keen to save power, but having a short inactivity period, but I don't want to be entering my...

Hi, After 1 year of usage my computer decided to give up. About a week ago it started to BSOD continously, only a few minutes after it started. Unfortunately I couldn't save any files because even the ubuntu live CD didn't work. So I reinstalled windows and everything was fine, for about a day....
