Still pointing to memory corruption. Since it appears your ram has passed it may be time to start thinking about a clean install.

If my ram passed the memory test which it did. Does this also test the refresh of the ram? If I load all the memory with a known pattern and let it sit for x number hours and then retest and that would pass then I don't think I have a memory problem. That hasn't test the video ram but I don't think that would kill programs.

The other think it could be is something in the data path that I don't think we have tested very well but don't know what I could use to test this.

If memory is ok then I must have a system file that is corrupt or something in the system that is stomping on things but all the test we have ran doesn't show this up or we don't have anything to check this.

If I do a system reinstall what could I use as a test to verify that everything is ok. The problem now is that it is kind of random and I don't know how to make the crash happen. If I install window and got it up to the latest patchs and fixes then I need to run some kind of test that validates everything is working is their something I could use to do this. Then I could start installing the other programs and running a test to see if every thing is working other wise I can only install one thing at a time and then wait a couple of days and that sucks.

"refresh" of the ram? Known "pattern"? Video ram/card can and does kill the machine.

Try these tests

FurMark Setup:
- If you have more than one GPU, select Multi-GPU during setup
- In the Run mode box, select "Stability Test" and "Log GPU Temperature"
Click "Go" to start the test
- Run the test until the GPU temperature maxes out - or until you start having problems (whichever comes first).
NOTE: Set the alarm to go off at 90ºC. Then watch the system from that point on. If the system doesn't display a temperature, watch it constantly and turn it off at the first sign of video problems. DO NOT leave it it unmonitored, it can DAMAGE your video card!!!
If the temperature gets above 105ºC, quit the test - the video card is overheating.
- Click "Quit" to exit

If the problem is hardware re-installing software wont help, if software re-installing might.

Best bet find out the problem then take action.

The Ram is has a refresh rate that suppose to be done by hardware. If rate at which ram is refreshed is close to the time that it looses its data then the data will slowly go away. If we killed the refresh clock the data would slowly go towards zero or ones. If my memory is not getting refreshed correctly then I the data would get corrupted over time. The only way to see this would be to write a fixed pattern and then look for changes over time and have a memory test that looks at this specific problem.

This is probably not the problem but I'm looking for anything that would corrupt memory.

Sorry but I have no idea what you are trying to describe. Are you talking about latency?

I run the video test and got it up to 90C then I got some screen that kernal stopped but closed window and everything still working.



I also ran Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool and it was passing. But first time it crashed then after that no problems.

zigzag3143 Do you have any ideas about how I can figure out what is crashing my system. I agree with you comment that I would like to find out the problem because reinstalling operations system and then getting back up to latest version of all the files would probably get me right back to same problem and I wouldn't know any more than I do right now. I down loaded PCMark7 thinking I could run one program to see if it would crash but maybe you would have other ideas of what I could test the system with to get it to fail so that I could know if I'm making a difference? Any help appreciated.

Also how do I look at the minidump file to figure out what is causeing the crashs? What do I use to look at these files to know what is going on?

For the casual user Blue screen view will attempt to find the cause. It often erroneously blames an OS file when the true fault lies elsewhere but is the easiest to use.

I don't seem to be getting any were. I've done everything you have told me to do but haven't figured anything out. Computer is crashing at least once or more a day and also hanging. This really sucks.
