    System crash after normal shutdown

So here is one that I could use some help with. I am running Windows 64 bit RC 7100 Ultimate on a Asus PL5. I downloaded EnhanceMySe7en, started it, but did not run any functions. I shut down the computer for the night and the next day when I tried to boot the machine, it started to do a disk check and repair. I left it to run, but when I came back to it could still not reboot. Eventually I managed to get the computer to reboot after using the repair disk. However after restarting Windows, when I click on the start button and go to "All Programs" it is blank.

Is there a way to restore the programs list?

I don't know what other information I need to supply that will help to understand this crash.

    Thanks.

Looks like EnhanceMySeven did something to it...I have known others with a similiar issue after using the program. Either try a System Restore or a repair install if you turned that off

I have just uninstalled EnhanceMySe7ven and everything is back to normal. I am so glad that I don't have to reinstall and start all over again! It does make me very nervous to try out new software :)

No biggie...glad I was of some assistance. The thing to remember here is that 7 was just released to Microsoft Channels...so those apps were built on Pre-Release versions of Windows 7 and weren't throughly tested on a FINALIZED version of Windows 7. If the app is still being developed than give them some time to fix the bugs present

I was astonished to discover that in fact the reason the start "All Programs" was blank, was that windows can only display a certain number of program files.
After installing yet another program, the same thing happened again! So I opened c:/ProgramData/Microsoft/Windows/StartMenu/Porgrams/, made some category folders, moved some files over to the new category folders and problem solved :)
