BSOD after restarting when installed ATI drivers

I've had this problem as well. "What I did" If you can log in to Safe Mode uninstall all AMD Catalyst drivers and the manager. Set folders to show hidden files and delete the AMD folders in programs and program data folders. I uninstalled the display driver through devise manager or roll it back to the standard VGA driver and reboot. You may want to download your catalyst package from another pc and have it ready. Or use the AMD auto detect program from AMD/support.com This worked for me. Sometimes the installation gets corrupt if you've tried installing it several times. Hope this helps ya.

I'm getting BSOD aswell after the reboot when i've unistalled it, deleted folders. I don't know whats happening after the BSOD but i can log in after i get it.

The cycle of what's happening. Installing/unistalling - rebooting - logging i... BSOD!! - rebooting - logging in - "works" with some strange resolution.

So the problem is that i can't fully uninstall it. i'm trapped in this vicious circle lol

Ahh! I've been there. Another trouble shootier you can try is swapping out your memory modules. One of them could be damaged or becoming damaged. If thats the case it will be an easy fix. Simple test to run though. take one out and boot. if you get the same bsod switch to the other module and try it. The video seem to lean towards memory causing a lot of the blues screens.

I got to part 2

Installing work but then when I launched it I got BSOD.

I managed to install an ATI graphic driver! But now is the problem that when i'm trying to start a game I get BSOD.

(How i managed to install it. I inactivated and then activated my graphic card(s) in device manager. Then I restarted and activated it. Simple as that. (feeling dumb, lol) But the BSOD problem is still here/there)

Try uninstalling and re-installing the display card driver using the following steps.

1. Download the latest drivers for your display card(s)
2. Click Start Menu
3. Right Click My Computer/Computer
4. Click Manage
5. Click Device Manager from the list on the left
6. Expand Display adapters
7. Do the following for each adapter (in case you have multiple display cards)
   
   • Right click the adapter
   • Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
   • Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device (if this option is available, otherwise just hit OK) and hit OK
8. Restart your computer after uninstalling drivers for all display cards
9. Install the latest driver for the display cards once Windows starts

Alternatively:

1. Login as an adminstrative user
2. Download the latest drivers for your display card(s)
3. Click Start Menu
4. Click Control Panel
5. Click Hardware and Sound
6. Click Device Manager (the last link under Devices and Printers)
7. Expand Display adapters

Thanks for the detailed explanation but I've already done this. I've managed to install an ATI graphic card driver but i'm still having the BSOD problem. Now it's happening when I start a game or running FurMark.

Maybe i've missed some driver or update. Can someone make list of what should be uppdated/installed/downloaded to a new-installed computer?
